The author goes into various concepts and mechanisms, sometimes in detail, sometimes superficially, which you would think require a lot of drawings to make things clear. However, the author describes all the details by text only. So if you've seen that mechanism, you can imagine what he's talking about. If you've never seen it, well, it's a waste of time to read through the verbal description anyhow, because as the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand of words. But then unexpectedly he provides a photo of a gastank cap for example, which everyone has seen and doesn't require to be displayed. The book also contains a lot of small typo's, factual mistakes, Celcius instead of Fahrenheit, positive temperature instead of negative, etc. All in all, the book looks unfinished and certainly not the way a technical book should be. After 40 pages I find it hard to continue reading it. I would rather spend the money on something else.
