The fork mount fits between the front fender and front tire of your motorcycle when transporting. Allows you to securely tie down your motorcycle without compressing the forks, preventing damage to fork seals and springs. Standard mount fits motorcycles with 10 inches of fork travel. Mini mount fits motorcycles with 7.75 to 10 inch forks.

It works, it's tight to get in though. The smaller version is about 2" short.I've used it for a couple of short runs, but I'll be using it very soon while trailering behind my van for several thousand miles.When it's compressed on the tire, it's in tight. I can't see how it could eject, but I might drill small holes in the wings that sit against the fork tubes and put a tie wrap on, not too snug.It's definitely removing compression from the forks, and the bike feels very firm on the straps.
